Quality Cornish Self-Catering

About Us

We, John & Clare, are looking forward to welcoming guests to our holiday cottage.

Recently converted, the cottage started life as a calf-rearing shed on our farm. It later became a workshop, being used by a friend to make surfboards – Ju’s General Boards - and is named for him. The cottage is adjacent to our farmland. You might find you have sheep as your near neighbours!

We have installed solar panels on the south-facing roof and the cottage is insulated to a high standard. We recently received our Energy Performance Certificate – Trewhel-ju is rated A96, the highest score our assessor has seen. We used recycled materials where possible.

We live on site in our own barn conversion so are conveniently on hand to assist you for that personal touch. We can offer you a wealth of local knowledge and suggestions of things to do and places to see.

The coastal footpath is a stroll away, as are country lanes down to the canal with its towpath for level walks. The cycle path, also level, is near the canal. The town is within easy walking distance with its famous surfing beaches, sea pool and sea locks. The area offers lots of excellent places to eat – from a pasty and a pint to speciality restaurants.
